Matilda Seppälä

Matilda Seppälä (b. 1993) is a Finnish composer(-performer), whose musical education started at the age of six with violin performance. Seppälä started her composition studies 2011 with Jouni Kaipainen in Tampere and afterwards continued studying in Riga, Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music, Sibelius Academy and Universität Der Künste Berlin. In her latest works Seppälä has played with bio data sensors, performance art and spatial works with non-linear form. In composing Seppälä enjoys most the brain work in the very beginning of a creative process and an inspiring connection to performers.
